Rick Poljan

I have worked in the manufacturing arena in South East Michigan for 18 years. I started out at Hamburg Screw Products making screw machine parts for the automotive Industry along with industrial accounts. Hamburg Screw was sold to G.T. Products in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Following the sale, I took the position of Manufacturing Engineering Manager at G.T. Products. G.T. Products, now "Eaton," is a manufacturer of fuel system assemblies for the automotive industry. It was a great learning experience launching new product programs with OEM automotive safety products. I worked with quality, product, engineering, manufacturing, and finance to bring new products into production. The exposure to PPAP's, FEMA's, Control Plans, and other procedures has been invaluable in launching projects from my current position as sales engineer. The J.E. Shireling Company has given me the opportunity to use my skills in manufacturing while building sales experience. The sales method of engineering support at J.E. Shireling has been a good fit for me. Brian Burnell

After graduating from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant Michigan with a degree in Business Administration, I joined Fastenal Company in Grand Rapids Michigan. A year later I was promoted to Assistant Manager of their Traverse City Michigan branch, and in 1990 I opened their Pontiac Michigan branch as General Manager. While with them I gained experience in sales of a wide variety of industrial products to customers in many industries. I then accepted an outside sales position with Wurth Service Supply where I was able to further strengthen my experience in sales and service to OEM accounts.

I'm excited to have now joined the J.E. Shireling Company, allowing me the opportunity to use my past experiences to further strengthen our relationships with our current customers and manufacturers. Ken Randall

I have an Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology and a Professional Certificate in Microcomputer Engineering from UCSD. I worked in the Electronics industry for 13 years in San Diego California. I was a Product engineer and also a component engineer. I left San Diego in 1995 and returned to Michigan. I then decided to get in to sales. I worked with an Electro-Mechanical distributor in Hudsonville for 7 years and 1 year with a Grand Rapids based distributor. I enjoy being out on the road and working with engineering and purchasing.

I'm excited to have now joined the J.E. Shireling Company. My experience and knowledge will allow me to further strengthen our relationships with our current customers and manufacturers. Doug Dowling

I am very pleased to be at J.E. Shireling Co. where I can use my 20 plus years of industrial experience. I spent many years in the automotive, commercial truck, industrial machinery, marine and RV industries. I believe in working for each and every customer to come to a mutual and satisfying solution to every project, which results in the best quality products, lead times, and value.

I have lived and work in Indiana all of my life, I have been married for over 25 years and have two grown sons. My wife and I have been fortunate to purchase and build a new home on a few acres of the farm that my grandparents lost during the depression.

Paul Allar

I have a Bachelors Degree from Wayne State University in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have worked in the residential, commercial and industrial construction markets for the past 7 years in one form or another. I am excited to continue my career in an engineering orientated sales and marketing organization with the J.E. Shireling Company.

I have lived southeastern Michigan my whole life and have always valued what metro Detroit has to offer culturally, geographically, and commercially. Alissa (my wife) and I have two kids, Samuel (Sam) and Lillian (Lilly). We all love to spend as much time at "the lake" as we can. I passively enjoy local history, family ancestry, and over-thinking and over-engineer small home projects.

I am the newest addition to the J.E. Shireling family and have been added as a result of the magnificent opportunity to represent Emhart Dodge and HeliCoil in the metro Detroit area. Bernie Lynch

I have 14 years of experience in commercial construction sales and management in the Tri-Cities, Flint, Lansing and Jackson areas. I have an Associate Degree from Delta College and taught at Baker College in the industrial arts department.

I Live in Owosso with my wife Ellen and three kids.
